MandM29 Ashbourne, United Kingdom Tranquil setting between the mountains and the sea Left on Nov 13, 2015 for a stay in Nov 2015 1 people found this review helpful Beautifully situated with views up into the mountains and south east towards the Mediterranean this is a very comfortable and well equipped property which will comfortably accommodate up to four people. The property is situated about halfway between the beautiful hillside village of Frigiliana and the larger coastal town of Nerja, both of which are about a five minute drive away. There is a lovely partially covered private ‘breakfast terrace’ which enjoys full sun throughout the morning and early afternoon while up some steps from the front door there is another terrace with a small but immaculately clean pool. Visiting in early/mid November we were fortunate to benefit from perfect weather however there is an evening chill at this time of year and with cooler weather the log burner and the owner’s generous supply of logs would definitely have proved essential. The owner, Javier, was particularly pleasant and helpful and the property is exactly as described. It seems worth pointing out that the property does not have an oven, just a hob and microwave, and that the parking area is quite small and will struggle to accommodate anything much bigger than a Polo sized vehicle. There are also a lot of steps in the property so it is perhaps not entirely suitable for either the elderly or the very young. Left on Jul 21, 2014 for a stay in Jul 2014 2 people found this review helpful We have just returned from spending two weeks in this wonderful little corner of Cortijo san Rafael, just outside Frigiliana, and have no hesitation in recommending both Villa Dachita, and it’s owners Javier and Rosario, to anyone. The villa is exactly as described in the write up, spotlessly clean, with good showers, comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen equipment if you have a mind to use it, and a great view to sit watching the sun go down with a cold glass of – whatever you prefer! Javier and Rosario are consummate hosts – helpful and available, but not intrusive. I was a little wary, this being the first time booking on TripAdvisor, but my concerns were groundless. My biggest worry is that if I share just how great they are – we’ll never be able to book one of their places again because they’ll be full!! A couple of things to note – the villa is a couple of miles out of Frigiliana town itself in a residential area, and the parking space is tight – not really suitable for larger or low slung cars, though we parked a little further up the road without a problem OUR RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your nice review.
