A good size house with a rooftop pool for warmer weather, a lovely outside terrace, comfortable beds and showers etc. Its also a nice walk to Frigiliana via La Molineta, close to Nerja, and within easy reach of the airport in Malaga. We took walks up into the mountains behind Frigiliana, which are very beautiful as is the town. I got some writing done as well. We mostly cooked at Dachita but also went out a couple of times and the food was great. Javier and Rosario are excellent hosts respecting privacy but at the same time attentive, as the preparations for our arrival showed. The house was squeaky clean and we even had a welcome package including food and a lovely bottle of wine. My parents had stayed, years back, in the house in front which is also belongs to J and R. Our hosts still remember my parents and have sent them Christmas cards yearly from Spain! Lovely human beings. OUR RESPONSE: Queridos amigos: Gracias por vuestro bonito y cálido mensaje. Peter H Coventry, United Kingdom Perfect place to unwind Left on Jan 2, 2014 for a stay in Sep 2013 This was our third visit to Dachita and, as always, we felt totally relaxed from the minute we arrived. We really enjoy our stays in this lovely little villa (which is so cosy and full of character), and never want to leave. Although conveniently located just off the main road between Nerja and Frigiliana it still feels really tranquil and “away from it all” The villa is spotlessly clean and really well equipped, with everything you could possibly need. Rosario and Javier also provide a really generous welcome pack, which definitely goes beyond “the basics”. The views from the terrace and the rooftop pool are fantastic – look out for the eagles above the mountains! Rosario and Javier are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and we know they are just a ‘phone call away should we need them. Would thoroughly recommend, and are really looking forward to returning – soon, we hope! PaulVicM Belfast, United Kingdom Relaxing week at Villa Dachita Left on Jul 27, 2013 for a stay in Jun 2013 We spent a week at Villa Dachita in June, having booked directly with Javier and Rosario. Directions provided to the Villa were detailed and accurate, and Javier was quick and responsive to questions by email. The villa is situated half way up the road from Nerja to Frigiliana, with views out over the Nerja valley and the sea. A small parking space is situated directly below the villa on a steep road – very large rental vehicles might struggle. It is important to note that the villa is on a hill, and there are steepish outdoor steps to get to the swimming pool, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. That said, I was 6 months pregnant when we were there and I had no problems! Inside the villa was very clean and tidy. A handy welcome pack with ham, eggs, bread, croissants, juice, bottle of wine was provided, and the kitchen has all necessary items. The bathroom is a good size and best of all the shower is hot and powerful. The views from the terrace are stunning. The swimming pool is situated on a separate roof terrace, which felt private and sheltered. The area that the villa is in is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 5 minute drive from either Nerja or Frigiliana. On a few days during our stay, a dense sea mist came in over Nerja, and we sat smugly in the sunshine – if we were visiting the area again I would make sure was at a similar elevation above sea level as it must have ruined a few holidays. The villa has all the main English TV channels plus CD player and plenty of CDs and books. The free wifi has a strong signal and we were both able to use it while relaxing by the pool. Javier is a fabulous host – he called in briefly at the beginning of our stay to check all was well, and provided us with a few mobile numbers should we need any assistance. We felt secure in the knowledge he was available if we needed him, but he lets his guests have the privacy they desire. This was our second trip to the area. Frigiliana is a lovely little village with plenty of restaurants and little shops to wander around. Granada is less than an hour and a half away, and there are lots of beaches within a short drive. Juliehump Maidenhead, United Kingdom Perfect location and beautiful place to stay Left on May 31, 2013 for a stay in May 2013 We have just returned from a very relaxing week staying at this property – beautiful location, 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes into Frigliana village by car. The accommodation is extremely well equipped and very comfortable and having arrived late afternoon the welcome pack of wine, water, bread, juice etc was very welcome! The views are spectacular and it is very quiet with only the bird song disturbing the peace. The only slight disappointment was the size of the pool, which I think is slightly misleading in the pictures as it is dipping size only not swimming size. However it was still very welcome to cool off from quite hot days in May. Many thanks for a lovely stay.
