AKeating74 Dublin, Ireland Beautiful house and stunning grounds – superb property Left on Jun 1, 2012 for a stay in May 2012 I could not recommend this house enough. We stayed here from the 7th-18th of May and could not be more pleased with our choice. This is a stunning property- the house is lovely, with some nice pieces of art and all the modcons (including wifi, sat. t.v. with English, German, Spanish channels etc) but it is the grounds that will take your breath away. It has stunning views of the mountains and the sea, it has very well kept and beautiful gardens, a small fish pond, a great bbq area and table outside to eat and relax and drink wine and chat, and a lovely swmimming pool that looks out onto the mountain and sea. The owners ,Javier and Rosario, are very welcoming and warm couple who want to make sure that all there guests love the house as much as they do and they are (rightly) proud of their property and make sure that the house is in tip top shape for all the guests that go to stay there. On the practial side, you will need a car to get there and about. It is very quite around there with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. But it is only about 10 minutes drive to the centre of Nerja and 5 minutes to Frigliana. Friends of ours, who happend to be in Nerja at the same time as us, came up for a bbq from Nerja and it cost about €12 in a taxi. It is not suitable for people in wheelchairs (there are lots of steps) . We stayed here with a 3 1/2 year old and a 9 month baby and had to watch the 3 1/2 because of the steps and pool but he loved it there as much as we did and once you are careful with them it is absolutely fine. We stayed in Nerja 3 years ago (in San Juan de Capistrano) and really liked it but this is a different level all together. It is a little more expensive but it is worth it- as the old cliche goes ‘you get what you pay for’. To be honest i was hestitant to write this review because selfishly the less people know about it the better the chance of being able to book again. However, the owners were so hospitable that i think that the more people who know about it and book it the better. They also have a number of other properties around Frigliana so if you can’t book this one then maybe it might also be worth checking out their website http://www.friglianaholidays.co.uk (by the way i did not know the owners and only met them when we arrived at the house and was just impressed by them- so i have no vested interest in this review) We have been staying in villas in Spain, the Canaries and Portugal for the last 5 years or so and this is by far the best one we have stayed in. Highly recommended, believe me you won’t be disappointed.

An excellent villa, pool & garden. Great location for relaxing. Left on May 29, 2012 for a stay in Aug 2011 We have stayed at Hazilla de Raya six years running and will be there again this August. We could not wish for a better holiday. The owners Rosario and Javier are the best hosts anyone could wish for and we consider them to be our very best friends and their house is our ‘home in spain’. We are very lucky to have found such a lovely villa with everything you could want and more. We love Frigiliana and can’t wait to go again this August. Jane and Jim

Frances B Sonoma home away from home Left on Sep 10, 2012 for a stay in Jul 2010 Hazilla is a comfortable, welcoming home with an incredible view, large pool and lovely gardens. Javier and Rosario could not have been nicer or better hosts. We have stayed in their various properties several times over the last five years and enjoyed every minute of it.
