Jean-Paul H Danville, Canada “Simply charming, in a dream setting between mountain and sea” Left on Apr 11, 2018 for a stay in Mar 2018 At the end of a one-month stay at Villa Hazilla de Raya which belongs to the same owners and is located across the street it, we had to move for a short stay at “Dachita”. Most of the comments we have posted on Hazilla de Raya apply to this smaller but also most agreeable property. Namely, “Nested on the hills separating Nerja on the Mediterranean coast from the picture-perfect white village of Frigiliana, that well-appointed and comfortable property offers peace and tranquility in gorgeous surroundings, with easy access to many of the historic inland cities of that culturally rich area of Spain. For the adventurous, natural parks are right next door, including the attractive Alpujarras (Sierra Nevada). And to top it all, one could not find more gracious and generous hosts than the owners, Xavier and Rosario, constantly at the ready to offer advice and assistance. phirsch Montréal Excellent séjour d’hiver à la Dachita (Villa Frigiliana) Left on Mar 17, 2018 for a stay in Jan 2018 Nous sommes restés à la Dachita du 15 janvier au 15 mars 2018, en hiver. Avec le poêle à bois et du chauffage électrique additionnel, la maison était confortable. Les coûts de l’électricité et du bois ont été très raisonnables, malgré un hiver frais. La grande pièce salon-salle à manger-cuisine est chaleureuse. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la belle terrasse attenante à cette grande pièce, où nous avons pris le petit déjeuner au soleil tous les jours où la température l’a permis. Cette terrasse donne une vue exceptionnelle à la fois sur la mer du côté de Nerja et sur les montagnes du côté de Frigiliana. La deuxième terrasse, avec piscine sur le toit, est ensoleillée toute la journée, ce qui est très agréable en hiver. Les hôtes, Javier et Rosario sont très accueillants et serviables. La région est belle et permet de nombreuses promenades à pied ou en voiture. Frigiliana est un très beau village, et les promenades côtières à Nerja et dans les villes et villages avoisinants nous ont beaucoup plu. Special place Left on Aug 31, 2017 for a stay in Aug 2017 We have just returned from another stay at Dachita. The fact that we come back year after year is testament to how lovely the house and area are and how great Javier and Rosario are. Each visit, we notice improvements. The photos really don’t do Dachita justice. We were lucky to be here for the Tres Culturas Festival this year. It was great to be able to visit and be so close to the venue. The house is in a lovely quiet area where the only real noise is that of owls, cockerels and cicadas. There is a host of wildlife to be spotted in the valley. I spent an afternoon watching the eagles doing their thing having watched a praying mantis walk up the wall by the pool. Can’t recommend Dachita highly enough. For us, it’s just right.
