Our hosts we’re friendly and helpful and provided an excellent welcome pack which was much appreciated on our late arrival. The apartment is a beautiful home from home and is spotlessly clean and clearly loved. The outside area is just stunning with breath taking views over the rooftops and surrounding countryside…best holiday ever and we’ll definitely return sooner rather than later…just loved everything about it OUR RESPONSE: Dear guest: Thank you very much for your review. Adrienne W Bangor, United Kingdom Perfect Stay Left on Sep 20, 2017 for a stay in Sep 2017 My husband and I had a wonderful time in this charming town house which is in the historical part of Frigliana. We stayed here the first week in September. We were met by Javier the owner who was delightful and friendly, he showed us around and we were also given a welcome pack (we have stayed in many villas and have never had this before it was very thoughtful thank you). The house had enough space for our needs with all the amenities you could hope for. But the STAR was the outside terrace it was a great space with plenty of options for relaxing in or out of the sun along with a plunge pool. the views were breath taking it would be hard to find a more striking view. We were very close to some great restaurants The Garden and El Adarve which we visited twice each and again had wonderful views along with delicious food. I would also recommend Marisqueria El Sacristan which was at the bottom of the town. This Villa is ideal for a couple and you did not need a car but do need to be fit for the hills. We really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend this villa and hope to return in the near future. Thank you for a memorable week. As the town was going to be busy with limited parking the owner, Javier very kindly offered to pick us up from the airport. The apartment is named after the row of arched windows that throw light into the american style lounge, kitchen,dinner area which were well presented and very clean. WiFi and satellite TV with British channels were provided. The bedroom has a very comfortable double bed with ample drawer and hanging space. The bathroom with shower cubicle is beautifully tiled and has a light funnel to provide illumination. The ‘wow’ is when you walk out onto the terrace which has lovely views to the mountains, a plunge pool which is wonderful on a hot afternoon and ample sunbathing space with two comfy loungers supplied. There is also a covered porch with table and chairs to escape from the heat of the sun. The terrace is decked with beautiful plants which Rosario has a passion for. At the quieter end of the village, you have all the bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk, but enjoy the silence when you return home at the end of an evening. And don’t forget the welcome pack of wine, beer, milk, water and enough cheese and meats to get you by for your first couple of days.There are plenty stores in the village to replenish your stocks, but we did not need to. Rosario and Javier are lovely hosts who want to ensure that you enjoy your stay with them and they are very proud of their village. They are always there if you need them but are not intrusive in any manner. OUR RESPONSE: Dear friends: Thank you very much for your stay in Arcos de la Almona. Wonderful house. Wonderful Frigiliana. Left on Aug 10, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017 1 people found this review helpful We spent two super weeks at this well-appointed and charming town house in the heart of the historic quarter of Frigiliana. When we arrived Javier, the owner, welcomed us and what a warm and friendly welcome it was. The welcome pack that Javier and Rosario provided was extremely generous. The house is of a very high standard – this is not your typical rental property, you can see the owners have spent a lot of time and money making it very functional and beautiful. The house was spotlessly clean and in very good condition. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. We had been concerned about finding supermarkets/shops in Frigiliana but there are many. Javier pointed out one at the bottom of the road, which turned out to have all we needed – including very good gin and quality tonic – and was open on Sunday. The terrace area provides wonderful views and is a lovely place to eat and chill out, with shaded and sunny areas. It is much larger than it appears in the photos – we loved it. My wife and I loved reading our books at night-time with the most mesmerising starry sky above us. The sunsets were stunning. The small pool was welcome on hot days when we didn’t venture out. We found that we spent more time in Frigiliana and the lovely house that we had intended, as we were so comfortable there. The villa is very quiet during the evenings and cool during the night, although the weather was very hot. We didn’t use the air conditioning, as it can’t be used after midnight. There are plenty of good places to eat in Frigiliana. La Taberna del Sacristan is a must – don’t miss the enormous and delicious prawn cocktail! We also dined at Restaurant 34 at the Hotel Carabeo in Nerja, which was super. We didn’t bother with a car and were pleased we didn’t. Javier organised a taxi from Malaga and Paulino from Frigiliana Taxis provided an A1 service. The busses from Frigiliana to Nerja were great – only 1 euro – and we also travelled by bus to Malaga and Salobrena with no problems. Javier did an amazing job in getting us beds on Burriana beach in a prime location. It took 22 phone calls. Javier you are a star! We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely house. Lovely hosts javier and family were welcoming, warm, helpful and unobtrusive. Nice welcome pack, spotless apartment with everything you need. Fantastic location with supermarkets and restaurants on the doorstep. Wonderful terrace with amazing views, sun or shade all day/evening. We will return either later this year or next.
